Numerical Simulation of Dynamic Variation Characteristics of Particles in a Rolling Fluidized Bed

When transplanting the gas–solid fluidized bed technology to offshore floating platform, flow characteristics in will be affected by rolling of platform. In this paper, field, especially dynamic variation particles, a two-dimensional bed, is investigated using numerical simulation method. The results show that when an inclined position, gas/particle phases gather upper/lower wall region bed. During process behavior periodic change state near region, forming overall particle internal circulation mode ‘upward rate upper and downward lower region’. solid holdup fluctuates at low amplitude around high values, with corresponding rate. Meanwhile, has frequency fluctuations upward addition, Coriolis force, ‘lag phenomenon’ appears inclination angle decreases, compared instantaneous increase stage.
